The service life of personal protective equipment (PPE) depends on several factors:
- the type of product
- the conditions of use
- the storage conditions
- the frequency of periodic inspections
Most KRATOS SAFETY textile fall protection PPE has a service life of 10 years from the date of manufacture, subject to:
That no falls have been stopped by the equipment
That the periodic inspections have been carried out
That the product shows no signs of visible deterioration
KRATOS SAFETY mechanical fall arrest devices have an unlimited service life, provided that they are properly maintained and inspected.
Products must be stored under suitable conditions: away from direct light, moisture, chemicals and extreme temperatures. Improper storage can significantly reduce the lifespan of equipment, even when it is brand new.
Where can you find information specific to your product?
