Help in choosing

A harness forms part of a personal protective system, comprising an anchorage device, a lanyard, a body harness and connecting components that link all these elements together. It is therefore essential to know how to choose the right harness, taking into account your size, frequency of use and the specific environment (confined spaces, explosive atmospheres, etc.)

What size do I need? What is my weight?

The table below shows the body measurements. When wearing a harness over clothing, the harness can be adjusted to the required size.

The measurements are provided for guidance only; they may be suitable for people who are slightly shorter or taller. All measurements are given in centimetres.

What kind of mounting points do I need?

Depending on your needs, having multiple anchor points can help you work more efficiently at height and reduce fatigue, particularly when using the two side points. In this example, without these points, the worker has only one hand free, gets tired much more quickly and is far less comfortable.

With 1 or 2 fall arrest points (back and chest)

With 1 or 2 fall arrest points + 2 work positioning points (sideways)

With 1 or 2 fall arrest points, plus 2 work positioning points and 1 suspension point (front)

How often do I use my harness?

Depending on how often you will be using our harnesses, as well as the average duration of each work-at-height session, it may prove necessary to opt for products designed for very regular or even intensive use. This criterion also changes according to the environment in which you will be working, as is the case with confined spaces or chemical environments, which require suitable equipment and more frequent inspection.
