Our memberships and accreditations
KRATOS SAFETY takes part in and belongs to various French and international organisations in order to advance legislation and better protect people working at height on a daily basis. Here is a summary of the company's actions within each organisation.
SYFFORHA
Established in 2009, the French Union for Training in Working at Height (SYFFORHA) aims to promote high-quality training and to bring together specialist organisations in order to ensure the professionalism and reliability of training programmes for working at height.
SYFFORHA contributed to the development of document FD S71-521, which has become the benchmark for the content and duration of training courses on working at height. Membership of SYFFORHA guarantees that the training courses delivered by KRATOS SAFETY are as consistent and comprehensive as possible.
We are members of SYFFORHA because we believe that high-performance equipment only reaches its full potential when users are properly trained in how to use the products. It is for this reason that trainers were able to discover our products in October 2025 during the members’ day.
The association has also acquired the rights to the Guide to Working at Height, to which KRATOS SAFETY contributed, co-authored by Vincent Lecomte and Sakti Cano. Spanning 178 pages and featuring 17 technical data sheets, it provides an exhaustive explanation of the key aspects of working at height that need to be understood.
SYNAMAP
For over 60 years, SYNAMAP has brought together professionals committed to occupational risk prevention in the workplace. As chair of the Working at Height Safety Commission, Jean-Paul COUDERT exemplifies KRATOS SAFETY’s strong commitment within this leading organisation.
OPFSA
Since 2019, the Professional Organisation of Fall Protection System Manufacturers (OPFSA) has brought together the leading French manufacturers of lifelines, anchor points, guardrails and cage ladders. Since June 2025, OPFSA members have been committed to having their fall protection products assessed by independent laboratories. This requirement enhances the quality and reliability of the equipment placed on the market. KRATOS SAFETY’s membership demonstrates its commitment to offering solutions that meet the highest safety standards.
France travaux sur cordes
France Travaux sur Cordes is the leading trade association for professionals specialising in rope access work in hard-to-reach areas. As a member, KRATOS SAFETY is actively engaged alongside other industry stakeholders. Since 2022, KRATOS SAFETY has been a partner of the French Rope Access Championship, providing both financial support and equipment. This is a unique opportunity to see our solutions used and tested in real-world conditions by France’s finest rope access technicians.
AFNOR
For many years, KRATOS SAFETY has been an active member of AFNOR and participates in the committees responsible for drafting standards and technical documentation relating to PPE for protection against falls from a height.
This involvement enables us to anticipate regulatory changes and quickly offer equipment that complies with new market requirements, such as self-retracting fall arresters following the publication of the new EN 360 standard.
Qualiopi
Qualiopi is the mark awarded to training organisations in France that offer quality learning and apply defined, clear and regular processes. It certifies that the training complies with the National Quality Framework (Référentiel National Qualité) through 7 criteria and 32 indicators. For you, it is Qualiopi that allows your training to be funded by schemes such as OPCO, the CPF or France Travail.
KRATOS SAFETY is Qualiopi-certified. When your teams take one of our training courses in awareness, inspection, maintenance, or product use, this funding can be mobilised.
IPAF
IPAF is the leading organisation for promoting best practice in the use of powered access equipment worldwide. Because fall protection is an integral part of working on aerial work platforms, KRATOS SAFETY works closely with this federation to help develop solutions that are ever better suited to users’ needs.
Our Olympe-S retractable-type fall arrester is a perfect example of this approach. A solution designed to meet the demands of the workplace and enhance the safety of professionals in their day-to-day work.
