- Made up of 14 mm diam polyamide twisted rope
- Abrasion resistant thimble to protect the loops from being damaged by metallic contact
- Spliced end is protected with a strong transparent covering sleeve
- Colored tracer strand losing colour to show the lanyard is unfit for use
- Forged alloy steel ring-adjuster
